This Year the Windriders Foundation is proudly launching its First General Scholarship Program!
In recognition of the important service to the community provided by Lifeguards on Southern California Beaches, the Windriders Foundation is offering a general scholarship to provide funds for higher education.
Applicants will be evaluated by a three member Windriders panel based solely on Application Material submitted in support of Eligibility Requirements. The selected student will be awarded a scholarship to support them in their endeavors to gain a higher education.

General Scholarship - One award of $1,000 USD will be given to a student applicant who meets eligibility requirements. Award Date - 9/15/2017.
Currently enrolled as a student in an accredited degree-granting program.
Currently employed as a San Diego, Orange or Los Angeles County Lifeguard.
APPLICATION MATERIALS - DUE September 1, 2017
Please provide a short Essay (up to 400 words) with your name, your most memorable experience as a Lifeguard, college degree plans and how this scholarship will assist you.
Please provide enrollment transcript to an accredited college or university.
Please provide a recent pay stub with SSN redacted as proof of employment.
By providing application materials, applicant releases use of Name, and Essay to Windriders Foundation in on-line and printed media.
